Collected Works The Karl Rahner lecture was inaugurated this year with a presentation by Cardinal Karl Lehman, “Was bleibt von Karl Rahner?  theologische Programmatik für heute und morgen.”  The lecture volume includes an overview of the Sämtliche Werke as of early 2009 by Andreas R. Batlogg and Albert Raffelt, entitled “Ein Lebenswerk erschlossen : Zum Stand der Edition sämtlicher Werke Karl Rahners.”

 

Comprehensive Bibliographies.  Dr. Albert Raffelt at the University of Freiburg has put together an invaluable web page with information about Rahner, his works and secondary literature about them.

Archives.  The Karl-Rahner-Archiv in Munich, an initiative of the German Province of the Jesuits, is dedicated to preserving Rahner's literary legacy.
- The Karl-Rahner-Archiv, München, under the direction of Pater Dr. Andreas R. Batlogg SJ, contains information about Rahner's Sämtliche Werke.

Theological Investigations.  The complete text of Rahner’s 23-volume Theological Investigations is now available in PDF format, published to mark Rahner’s centenary in 2004.  The publisher is Mary Immaculate College in Limerick, Ireland, and you can purchase it for £60.00 at "The Way -- Ignatian Book Service" in Oxford, England.

 

 

Paraphrase.  Dr. Mark F. Fischer at St. John's Seminary in Camarillo, CA has written a paraphrase of Rahner's Foundations of Christian Faith. His web site also includes an index to the book and materials for teaching Rahner's theology.

 

 

Database.  A Rahner Database is maintained by Dr. Kern Trembath of the University of San Francisco.  It enables people to search for Rahner materials in a variety of ways, including the following categories: ecclesiology, spirituality, history, Thomas Aquinas, Christology, and Theological Method.
